Our Story
Over 65 years of community, competition, and championship bowls in the heart of Lisburn.
A Legacy Built on Community
Lisnagarvey Bowling Club was officially established on 3 October 1956, with a mission to promote the sport of lawn bowls and foster a strong community spirit in the heart of Lisburn. For over six decades, our club has been a cherished local institution, proudly situated at our green in Warren Gardens.
We celebrated our 50th anniversary in 2006, a milestone that marked half a century of sporting achievement and fellowship. Our annual opening of the green for the new season is a key event in the local calendar, often attended by community leaders, including the Mayor of Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council, underscoring our deep roots in the community.
Today, Lisnagarvey continues to thrive as one of the leading outdoor bowling clubs in the Lisburn area, welcoming members of all ages and abilities to enjoy the sport of outdoor bowls.
